Documentation
Definition
Determines whether the system should automatically generate a planning delivery schedule when a forecast delivery schedule is created.
When you mark this field, the system automatically creates a planning delivery schedule when you save the scheduling agreement. It does this immediately before checking changes in cumulative quantities against tolerance levels.
Even when you have marked this field, the system will not carry out this function, if you:
- Create a planning delivery schedule manually
- Change an existing planning delivery schedule
Use
Automatic generation is ideal for forecast delivery schedules received by EDI. The system can automatically create a planning delivery schedule without having a user take the time to trigger the function manually.
Note
When the system does generate a planning delivery schedule automatically, it issues message V4151 informing you so. This may not always be desired, such as in the case of incoming EDI. You can switch off this variable message in Customizing for Sales.
