Definition

If you choose this option, the write program of the archiving object will run in production mode. The program will create archive files, based on your selection criteria and other archiving-object-specific checks.
The program will also generate statistics containing information about the table entries that were written to the archive and the size and number of archive files that were created.

The archived data can then be deleted from the database through the delete program of the archiving object. Depending on your customizing settings, you must either start the delete program manually or it will start automatically. If it starts automatically, there will be an additional indicator next to the radio button. This indicator allows you to determine whether the program will run in the test mode or the production mode.
