Definition

In an ABC analysis, the dataset is first sorted by the key figure in descending or ascending order. It can then be analyzed according to four different strategies. In the analysis result, the data records are divided into three groups (A segment, B segment and C segment).

  • Key figure (as a percentage)

Division into groups is performed by treating the key figures as percentage proportions of the overall total.
  • Key figure (as an absolute value)

Division into groups is performed by treating the key figures as absolute values.
  • Attributes (as a percentage)

Division into groups is performed by treating the number of data records as percentage proportions of the overall total.
  • Attributes (as an absolute value)

Division into groups is performed by using a fixed number of data records.
