Documentation
Definition
Specifies that the calculation method Percentage is used to calculate the result of the appraisal element.
Use
Note
You can only specify a calculation method if you have specified a scale.
The calculation using this method is performed as follows:
- On the basis of the scale used, a percentage value is calculated for every result.
- Every percentage result is multiplied by its weighting.
- The weighted results are then totaled up regardless of the scale and unit used.
- The total of the weighted results is divided by the total of the weighting factors.
- For the result, the percantage value is determined on the basis of the scale used.
Caution
The calculated result takes the value range and unit of the scale defined for the appraisal element. In other words, the result is only expressed as a percentage value if a percentage scale was used. Otherwise, the percentage value calculated is applied to the scale.
Example
Scale: 10 points
Percentage value calculated: 50 %
Result: 5 points
Note
If you use different scales, the following situation might arise:
If the result is greater than the maximum proficiency of the scale, the result is automatically reduced to the maximum scale proficiency.
