The 'Employee category' field is used to group employees for statistical evaluations. In the standard system, possible entries are predefined and adapted to the statistics in question. The following entries are possible: Blank: hourly paid employee A: hourly paid employee - time wage B: hourly paid employee - premium wage C: hourly paid employee - piecework wage D: hourly paid employee - premium and piecework wage E: hourly paid employee - hybrid wage 0: salaried employee in non-technical job 1: salaried employee in technical job 2: foreman, salaried employee 3: foreman, hourly paid employee N: employee group/subgroup not relevant for statistical evaluation
Please note that the employee category is related to a specifc employee group/subgroup. If you want to assign an indicator to one particular person which is different from the one for the employee subgroup, you can enter this information in the 'Contract' field of the 'Organizational Assignment' infotype. Please also take into account that you may only use some of the entry options listed above in certain statistical evaluations.
