Definition
The deletion date for order deadline entries is the date from which all order deadline entries are deleted for a plant and
- in the case of titles, for a publication
- in the case of ad pre-prints, for an ad pre-print delivery type.
After deletion, you should note the following when creating new order deadline entries after the deletion date selected here:
Notes on Creating Technical Order Deadline Limit for a New Period
(For example, you should pay attention to this note after deleting deadline entries from a certain date.)
If deadline entries are maintained for a publication (with all its delivery types) up to a certain key date (or all entries were deleted from a certain date), you must note the following when creating the new period:
If one of the entries has a generic delivery type, the entries with a qualified delivery type must be created first for the new period. Only then can you create the entry with the generic delivery type for the new period.
You must proceed in this order for entries with generic delivery types since the system checks that each new entry created is consistent with the previous period. (If you create the entry with the generic delivery type in the new period first, the system checks that this entry is consistent with all entries with a qualified delivery type. This check generally then ends in an error.)
Example:
All entries for publication P1 are maintained up to 31.12.1999.
Del.type From To Offset day/time...........
---------------------------------------------------------
01/01/99 12/31/99 2 12:00:00 ...
01 01/01/99 12/31/99 3 12:00:00 ...
02 01/01/99 12/31/99 5 12:00:00 ...
03 01/01/99 12/31/99 9 12:00:00 ...
You want to create the period from 01/01/2000 to 12/31/2000. This must be done in the following order:
- Create all qualified delivery types (01, 02, 03)
- Create entry with generic delivery type
