Documentation
Definition
Define the level of detail to be displayed in the alert monitor.
Procedure
Choose one of the following options:
- Overview to display only the monitoring tree elements (MTEs) that are essential for monitoring the status of the system on a daily basis.
- Analysis to display a higher level of additional objects in the alert monitor. These objects are intended for analyzing problems in the system.
- Expert analysis to display objects in the alert monitor for which SAP specialist may be required.
Note
When you create an MTE, you must assign it to a level of detail in the alert monitor. However, if an alert occurs in an MTE, the alert monitor displays it in any view. This means that you can always see an alert, regardless of the view to which it is assigned.

Definition
Use
Procedure
Select this option to display the alert monitor in the system overview screen for system operators.
The overview displays all monitor tree elements (MTEs) that are important for daily system monitoring and administration. Special MTEs for problem analysis views are not displayed in the overview.
Note: The alert monitor displays all MTEs that contain an alert, even if the MTE is designed for analysis screens. This means that the system will display all alerts, even if the MTE does not belong in the system overview. An alert MTE disappears automatically from the overview as soon as the root of the problem is fixed.
