Definition
When you define a method, you can determine how the method is to be executed. You can choose one or more of the following options:
- Data collection method: An ABAP program that is responsible for collecting information on an MTE.
- Auto-reaction method: An ABAP program that responds automatically to an alert. For example, the auto-reaction method CCMS_OnAlert_Email can be assigned to an MTE class. If the values reported for that MTE class trigger an alert, the system sends a mail to the SAP user(s) you have defined to inform them of the problem.
- Analysis method: An ABAP program for displaying information on a node in the monitoring tree and for gathering information on the problem that triggered an alert in that node.
