Definition

Specifies which entry from a log attribute is to be displayed as the "current value" of the attribute. The current value is displayed in the alert monitor.

Possible modes for determining the current value include:

  • Display the most recently reported message
  • Display the message that produced the most serious alert
  • Display the message that produced the most serious alert in a specified time period

If you choose the last option, then you should also specify a time period. The alert monitor then searches for the most serious alert within that time period.

You will also need to specify whether the time period is in:

  • minutes, or
  • hours.
