Documentation
Definition
Criticality of a message. Used to specify whether an alert should be triggered, and if so, whether the alert should be yellow (warning) or red (problem).
Procedure
Here you can change the criticality that is associated with a particular message.
Enter the message ID at the start of the table. Then mark the criticality (green, yellow, red) that the message should have. If the message is reported into the alert monitor, then it will have the criticality you specify here. The default criticality is ignored.
Your change applies only to monitoring attributes that use this attribute group. This is usually the set of all monitoring attributes with this name in the alert monitor.
The default criticality of a message is specified in the message definition or in the data supplier program that reports the message.
Examples
Message 00 540 has a default criticality of red. Every time that the message is reported into this monitoring attribute, it triggers a red alert. You wish to have only a yellow alert from this message. You can make this change here in the message filter. Identify the message and mark yellow as the new criticality of the message. The default setting of red is ignored. Instead, the message now triggers only yellow alerts.
