Documentation
Definition
Identifies the message whose default criticality and severity you are changing. The format of the message ID depends upon the type of message.
Message types are: SAP system log messages, standard SAP messages from table T100, or "XMI" messages that have been uploaded into the SAP system from an external system management product. The type of log attribute determines the type of message.
Procedure
Enter the message ID. Here are the formats:
- System log messages have a three-character, alphanumeric ID. You can review the IDs with transaction SE92.
- T100-messages have a class ID of variable length and then a three-character message number. You can review the IDs with transaction SE91.
- XMI message IDs: Please check the XMI-interface documentation of the external product for a list of the possible messages. XMI messages are held in a naming space under the XMI-interface name of the manufacturer of a system management product. Within this naming space, the messages have a 30-character message ID whose format is definable by the external system management product that owns the messages.
