Definition
When an archive information structure is filled, the contents of the source fields are transferred to the target fields.
The assignment of a target field to its source fields is defined in the field catalog.
Note on "additional source fields"
As well as the reference field, there may be additional source fields for a target field. Via the assignment of several source fields to a target field, you can create info structures which receive their data from more than one source table. This type of info structure can be described as being similar to a database view, whereby additional limitations and exceptions exist which may, under certain circumstances, be heavily dependent on the structure of the affected achiving objects. Therefore you should really leave it to experts, if you want to create field catalogs which refer to several source tables.
