Definition
This field determines whether the archive file name is incorporated as a key field or as a data field in the database table for the Archive Information Structure.
Usage
Whether the archive file name is incorporated as a key- or a data field, is already defined in the field catalog. This property will be incorporated in the info structure.
When an info structure is activated, the system generates a transparent database table which incorporates the data from the info structure. The archive file name is required in this table to enable the system to create the connection to the archive file from which the relevant data record is derived. It must always appear, at least as a data field, in the structure table. However, it may be necessary to incorporate the archive file name as a key field if the structure table entries are otherwise unclear. The name of the archive file must appear as a key if the data object offset appears as a key.
Value range
- 'D' - The archive file name is incorporated as a data field.
- 'K' - The archive file name is incorporated as a key field.
