Definition
Role Name
A role is used to select a menu and to generate an appropriate authorization profile for it. The role can then be assigned to users.
Supplementary Documentation - AGR_NAME_S0001
Use
You can assign standard roles to users using the administrator functions in the SAP Easy Access menu.
If you want to change a standard role, select the desired role from the input help for this field, and copy it. Note that roles delivered by SAP begin with the prefix "SAP_". If you want to create your own user roles, do not use the SAP namespace.
To accelerate the search for roles that are suitable for certain transactions, choose the Where-Used List for Transactions in Roles button.
