Definition
Sequence number of change in change number.
Each change listed on one change number is assigned a number by the system when a new function, such as 'insertion' is carried out.
The sequence number means that the user is subject to the following restriction:
A maximum of 999 change actions can be carried out on one change number. If you want to make more changes than this for the same period, you must create an additional change number with the same validity period. (To do this, you must create the option explicitly in central parameter maintenance).
Note
The user has no control over the way in which the system assigns these sequence numbers, and does not need to know the numbers to maintain structures. The numbers provide technical information that the system requires for example in order to carry out the 'delete' function correctly.
