Definition

Total Quantity specifies for the subject part the total extended number of units (in implied units of each) used in the assembly of a complete aircraft, engine or component End Item for the application at the specified Catalog Sequence Number (CSN).

Use

Total Quantity applies to S and T files. For the End Item Part Number entry in an End Item 'T' File, the total quantity is always 00000 while for the End Item Part Number entry in a Provisioning V File - Component Breakdown Segment is always 0.

Dependencies

Its use is mandatory in the initial issue of the segment being established in the file
