For part number record applicable to all manufacturer's engines or aircraft, the last two positions of the model code will be 99. A generic code MOA ZZ99 is applicable in cases where suppliers are not willing to modelize their procurement data.

Use

  • For airframe and engine manufacturers to modelize their fleet and to differentiate and channelize information to customers based on models.
  • For subtier manufacturers to identify that a part number applies to an airframe's particular model. This will in turn enable control of the data in the Central Procurement Data Base.
  • By the Centralized Procurement Data System to determine which population of part numbers is accessible to a given airline.
  • In Warranty Administration to identify a specific aircraft/engine type under warranty.

Dependencies

  1. When an MOA is added to an existing record, all MOA's to which the part number applies must be restated.
  2. MOA's that are not restated will be deleted from the Central Procurement Data Base. Subsequently, these records will be transmitted as deletions in the montly update sent to the customer.
  3. It is transmitted by the supplier to the central agency and is not transmitted to the customer. MOA TEI can be repeated a maximum of 99 times.
  4. If MOA is the last TEI in a record, it should not be delimited with a slash (/).
