Manufacturer Code identifies the manufacturer, government agency or other organization controlling the design and the part number assignment of the subject part.

Dependencies
Manfacturer Code is the only control data TEI that can be changed. Change Code 'R' can be used to revise MFR TEI in the PNS for line maintenance and EIS for overhaul items.

The above example displays a change to Manufacturer Code for line maintenance and EIS for overhaul items. Here, Part Number segment is used with a change code 'R' to add the TEI RMS for line maintenance application.
Similarly, to add the TEI RMC for overhaul applications, End Item segments are used with a Change Code 'R'. These new PNS control data TEI's will be displayed in the new provisioning data record set.
