Definition

The technical name of a partition used in XML Data Archiving.

Use

A partition is used to bundle resources that belong together based on their content. The XML DAS Connector allows a write program to reverse the archiving of resources belonging to a partition, which has not yet been frozen (method ROLLBACK_PARTITIONS). The delete program uses partitions instead of package size, to delete data in blocks. This means that the method PICK_PARTITION returns the partition name that was assigned in the write program and the resources contained in that partition.
