Definition
Logical message type for reducing the additionals IDoc.
Use
Data for additionals is always formatted as an IDoc. By a process of reduction you can minimize the volume of data in the additionals IDoc.
If the field is left blank, the IDoc is not reduced.
Procedure
The reduction must be created and activated in the ALE functions. The structure information from the reduced IDoc structure is put to use as early as the data preparation stage.
Select the logical message type appropriate for the material group.
Notes
As this field is defined at the level of the material group for additionals, all the additionals you assign to any one material group must have similar data.
Example
Assign the material group for sew-in labels a message type that has the characteristics of sew-in labels (a description of the mix of fabrics in a garment, for example) and not the characteristics of other labels (sales price conditions, for example).
