Documentation

Definition

Flag indicating whether mobile telephones are SMS-compatible by default in a specific country.

Use

Telephone numbers can have the attribute "SMS-compatible" in all SAP applications that use Business Address Services (for example, SAP Business Partner).
Various applications, such as CRM marketing campaigns, use this attribute for telephone number selection for the relevant target group.
You can maintain the indicator for SMS compatibility in dialog for each telephone number.

The attribute "SMS compatible" is to be proposed when mobile telephone numbers are maintained.
The country of the telephone number or the country of the address is used for this and the indicator for the country is evaluated.
If the indicator is set for the country, the attribute "SMS compatible" is proposed when the user creates a mobile telephone number.
The attribute can, however, subsequently be changed for each telephone number regardless of the default value.

Dependencies

Example

A mobile telephone registered with a provider in Germany can receive SMS messages by default.

In the USA, the user of a mobile telephone registered there first has to activate this service with their provider.
