Definition

This field specifies whether the telephone number is SMS-compatible.

Dependencies

If a telephone number is marked as SMS-compatible, a non-changeable copy of this telephone number is created under the communication method 'Pager'. This copy is used for SMS campaigns, for example, to send short messages.

Effects on Customizing

In Customizing, you can specify whether the SMS-compatible indicator is to be proposed for new mobile telephone numbers created in dialog by choosing General Settings -> Set Countries -> Define Mobile Telephone Attributes for each country.
