Identification that defines the characteristics of an item.
Use
The item type controls whether the following entries and transactions are required or permitted:
- Material Number
- ZAdditional Account Assigment
- Inventory magagement in the SAP system
- Goods Receipt
- Invoice receipt.
Example
An item of the type "Normal" requires goods and invoice receipts in the standard system. For items of the type "Consignment" invoice entries are, however, not allowed.
