Definition
If this flag is set, data can only be created in the Accrual Engine with the aid of a legacy data transfer.
This ensures that once the legacy data transfer is complete, only legacy data and no other data is created in the Accrual Engine.
Explanation:
In the Accrual Engine, transferred legacy data cannot be distinguished from data created in any other way.
Aa long as this legacy data was only created for test purposes, it can be deleted again.
After successfully testing the transferred legacy data, SAP recommend that you do the following:
- Reset this flag to the intial value to make it possible to create new data in the Accrual Engine in future.
- Change the legacy data transfer mode to "Legacy data transfer for productive operation" in order to prevent accidental deletion of data in the Accrual Engine.
Note
If this flag is set, no periodic accrual runs can be started in the Accrual Engine.
This is because Accrual Engine documents are created when periodic accruals are posted. This means that Accrual Engine data is changed, and is therefore not permitted if the "Legacy Data Transfer Only" flag has been selected.
