Definition

You can enter parameters when creating or changing accrual objects.

In Customizing activity Make Settings for Components SAP provides a DDIC structure that contains the fields that are available as parameters. This DDIC structure contains:

  • Parameters pre-defined by SAP and
  • A customer include in which customer-specific fields can be entered. To use parameters that you have defined yourself, proceed as follows:
    • Create the corresponding customer include with transaction SE11.
    • Enter the customer-specific parameter as the field name.
    • Save and activate your entries.
These parameters are now available to you when you create accrual objects.
In application component #Manual Accruals#, you also have to carry out Customizing activity Assign Accrual Object Categories.

Use

In the Accrual Engine, parameters can be used for the following purposes:

  • Account determination
The parameters can be used to control Accrual Engine account determination. To be able to this, you must first create another DDIC structure containing those fields that you want to use in the account determination as parameters. This additional DDIC structure then has to be entered in Customizing activity Define Customer Settings for Components .
  • Accrual calculation
You can also use the parameters in an accrual method that you have programmed yourself, in order to calculate the periodic accrual amounts.
