The Accrual Engine can be used in Accounting in the ERP system as well as in Business Accounting.
This indicator controls in which environment (Accounting or Business Accounting) the Accrual Engine is used.

The following differences between ERP and Business Accounting are of significance for the Accrual Engine:
- Determination of the fiscal year variant
In the ERP system, the fiscal year variant is determined from the company code master data.
