Definition
The last closed fiscal year specifies which fiscal years are closed in the Accrual Engine, and which fiscal years are still open.
The last closed fiscal year means:
- You cannot make changes to accrual objects or accrual postings in a fiscal year that has already been closed.
- In a legacy data transfer to the Accrual Engine, the values for the current fiscal year are transferred with the key date of the legacy data transfer, which means that any opening postings required are executed with this key date.
In contrast, values for past fiscal years are transferred with the last day of the last closed fiscal year as key date. This is so that you cannot make changes to this data.
