Definition
The accrual object category and accrual object number uniquely identify an accrual object.
The accrual object number is assigned when you create accrual objects.
In Customizing for Manual Accruals, you can configure either internal or external number assignment (number range interval 01).
The setting takes effect when you create accrual objects manually.
Note the following:
- You can also create accrual objects automatically, for example, using the program ACAC_DATA_TRANSFER_EXAMPLE. You can also use external number assignment here even if you have configured internal number assignment in Customizing. This means that the number assignment settings are only relevant when you create accruals manually.
- The input help (F4) shows those accrual object numbers that have been assigned already.
- Note that the numbers are always 22 characters.
Example:
You want to display the accrual object with the number 0000000000000000000021. You therefore have to enter the number exactly like this on the selection screen. Entering 21 instead of 0000000000000000000021 would be incorrect.
