Documentation
Procedure
Enter the quantity of the material which should be packed in one shipping unit.
Use
This information is copied into the packing proposal screen. If you complete the packing proposal data on this screen, packing is performed automatically in the delivery on the basis of this proposal and the rounding quantity.
Examples
A customer requires a certain type of lightbulbs to be delivered in packs of 20. Therefore, you enter a rounding quantity of 20 in the item for the lightbulb. You then create a packing proposal for this item on the basis of the rounding quantity. A delivery is then created for a schedule line of 96 lightbulbs. However, on the basis of the packing proposal in the scheduling agreement, packing is performed automatically for 100 lightbulb. 10 shipping units, each containing 10 lightbulbs are created. The requested delivery quantity is noted in the delivery log.
