Definition
Represents a two-character identifer for a variant of the number range element.
Use
You can define different number range element variants to represent situations in which you want to generate EPCs based on different number ranges for the same product.
Example
You create the following two number range element records for the same product.

GTIN 500005 01 36
GTIN 500005 02 36
Number range element variant 01 generally applies to the product, while number range element 02 applies to the product over the Holidays.
Thus during the year, the EPCs that are generated will be based on the record for number range element variant 01, while over the Holidays, generated EPCs will be based on the record for number range element variant 02.
