Definition
Represents the last serial number of the most recent list of EPCs provided by the backend system.
Use
This field is automatically filled by the system after the EPC serial number range IDoc is sent from the backend system to the auto-ID infrastructure.
Example
You create an inbound delivery for quantity 100 of material AID_MAT. The relevant packing instructions determine that every 10 of these materials should be packed into a case.
If the arriving cases do not have EPCs, a worker will enter/scan their GTINs. If the GTINs are number range elements in the Customizing activity table, the backend system retrieves from the number range a block of 10 serial numbers for the cases.
When the EPC serial numbers are generated for the cases the Last Used Number field is filled with the value 10 (assuming these are the first numbers used from the number range table). The next set of EPC serial numbers will begin with the number 11.
