Definition

The quantity unit is the quantity or time unit of an activity type or a business process in which the consumed activity/process quantity is posted.

Use

In the data bank, the activity types and business processes are always shown in quantity units which are set in the master record.

The quantity unit can no longer be changed in the master record when dependent data already exists.

Later plan or actual postings can result in varying quantity units if these are convertable to a defined/specified unit.
