Definition

The process category of Vehicle Space Optimization (VSO) groups the items of a VSO packing proposal according to the planned process flow of picking and packing.

The process category of the first item of a VSO packing proposal determines the process category of the entire VSO packing proposal.

Use

Such different process flows can be:

  • Manual picking
  • Removal of full packaging materials from storage by means of a fork lift
  • Special process flow for materials for closed packagings
  • Automatic picking of whole layers
  • etc.

The determination of the process category of Vehicle Space Optimization can be configured in Customizing activity Find Process Types and depends on the layer type of the item and the VSO packing proposal type.
