Documentation
Definition
Determines whether planning the shipment has been finished.
It is not possible to add deliveries or remove them from shipments for which planning has been finished.
Besides, specific changes or functions cannot be made or executed when they affect planning the shipment:
For example: shipping type, stages, itinerary.
Use
Setting the status triggers the following actions:
- Copy the route from the deliveries
When the flag for copying the route has been set and the same route has been set as default value in all deliveries of the transport, and the route in the shipment header is still initial, the route is copied into the shipment header.
The pertaining route legs are proposed as shipment legs.
- Determination of the shipment legs
Based on the deliveries of the shipment the system automatically creates shipment legs like in the function 'Leg determination' when shipment legs are being edited.
- Copy the forwarding agent from the deliveries
When the flag for copying the forwarding agent has been set and the same forwarding agent has been set as default value in all deliveries of the shipment, and the forwarding agent in the shipment header is still initial, the forwarding agent is copied as service agent in the shipment header.
- Copy the shipping type from the deliveries
When the flag for copying the shipping type been set and the shipping type has been set as default value in all deliveries of the shipment, and the shipping type is still initial, the shipping type is copied into the shipment header.
- Copy the special processing from the deliveries
When the flag for copying the special processing has been set and the same special processing has been set as default value in all deliveries of the shipment, and the special processing in the shipment header is still initial, the special processing is copied into the shipment header.
- Copy the means of transportation type from the deliveries
When the flag for copying the means of transportation type has been set in the shipment type and the same means of transportation type has been set as default value in all deliveries of the shipment, and the means of transportation type in the shipment header is still initial, the means of transportation type is copied into the shipment header.
- Determination of the distance
The distances, the wait time and the actual duration that are stored for the legs, are summed up and entered in the corresponding fields in the shipment header, provided the fields in the shipment header are initial. If not all fields for the duration, the total duration, and the actual duration are initial in the shipment header, the user is asked in the subsequent dialog box whether the system shall determine the duration and distance from the stages. When you confirm this with 'Yes', the system determines the duration and distance from the stages. - When you deny with 'No', the system changes the duration and the distance in the shipment header.
- Copy the delivery dates
When the flag is set in the shipment types, the dates are copied from the deliveries into the shipment. The following rules apply: - The earliest loading date from the deliveries of the shipment is copied for the dates referring to 'Register', 'Loading Start' and 'Shipment Start' in the shipment.
- The latest goods issue date from the deliveries of the shipment is copied for the date referring to 'Shipment End' in the shipment.
- If the date 'Loading Start' determined in accordance with the above- mentioned rules is behind the date 'Loading End', the dates 'Loading Start' and 'Loading End' are not copied from the deliveries. In this case the system sends a message. This also applies to copying the dates 'Shipment Start' and 'Shipment End'.
- Copying the dates for 'Register', 'Loading Start', 'Loading End','Shipment completion' and 'Shipment Start' only applies to the shipment with the leg indicator preliminary or direct leg. Copying the date for 'Shipment End' is only meant for the shipment with the leg indicator direct or subsequent leg.
Procedure
Set the status or date and time, if any.
When you set only the status, the system automatically sets the current time and date.
