Definition

By means of the X, Y and Z fields the system determines the zero point of a loading bay of a means of transportation.
X is the width, Y the depth and Z the height of the loading bay.

The starting point of the loading bay is located where the bay is installed (X=0, Y=0 und Z=0) in the direction of the motion at the bottom of the loading area on the front left-hand side.

By means of the Y zero point of the loading bay that has to be entered here, the point is determined from which the depth of this loading bay (in the direction of the width of the means of transportation) is determined.

Use

Dependencies

The following dependencies exist for the means of transportation:

  • The width of a loading bay (X) refers to the length of the means of transportation (X).
  • The depth of a loading bay (Y) refers to the width of the means of transportation (Y).
  • The height of a loading bay (Z) refers to the height of the means of transportation (Z).

Example

Truck with six loading bays on one level (two loading bays side-by-side, three bays one behind the other).

A loading bay is 1.0 m wide, 1.5 m long and 2.0 m high. Consequently, the loading bays of this truck are arranged as follows:

Loading bay L1 (front left-hand below):
Loading bay R1 (front right-hand below):
X-point :    0.0 m                X-point:    0.0 m
Y-point:    0.0 m                Y-point:    1.0 m
Z-point :     0.0 m                Z-point:    0.0 m

Loading bay L2 (middle left-hand below):
Loading bay R2 (middle right-hand below):
X-point :    1.5 m                X-point:    1.5 m
Y-point :    0.0 m                Y-point:    1.0 m
Z-point :     0.0 m                Z-point:    0.0 m

Loading bay L3 (rear left-hand below):
Loading bay R3 (rear right-hand below):
X-point:    3.0 m                X-point:    3.0 m
Y-point:    0.0 m                Y-point:    1.0 m
Z-point:     0.0 m                Z-point:    0.0 m
