Definition

Specifies the mapping type.

Use

  • You can specify how data is stored (identifier, class, or user-defined text). You can choose a different storage method for each combination of import category, segment, and field. You can assign the same fields more than once providing you use a different sequence.
  • The import file consists of segment fields. Some fields are used to identify the specification in the database; other fields are used to connect different segments. A rule of the import is that the first identifier is used for a connection between the segments. The second and third identifiers are used to identify the specification in the database.
