Definition
Indicates the specification type of the lowest product structure component.
Dependencies
Each specification type must be assigned to at least one specification category that categorizes the specifications into major groups, for example, substances or agents.
You can define additional check functions for specification types in Customizing for Environment, Health and Safety under Basic Data and Tools -> Specification Management -> Specification Master -> Specify Specification Types. If a check function is assigned in the specification type details, the system checks whether the entered specification type key is syntactically correct.
