Definition
Classifies the specification type according to the substance. A substance group specification does not describe a particular article, but covers several single specifications. Restrictions can be defined for the whole substance group, for example, overall mass amount of all present specifications contained in the substance group.
The substance group is only used for the pure substance (PURE_SUB) material category.
Dependencies
If a special check function is defined for the specification type in Customizing for SAP Environment, Health and Safety under Basic Data and Tools -> Specification Management -> Specification Master -> Specify Specification Types, the system checks whether the specification key that the user entered for this specification type is syntactically correct.
