Definition
Indicates that a regulation or regulatory list requires the evaluation of substances against parts (as opposed to the evaluation against the homogeneous material) for some or all substances.
Use
When this checkbox is selected, the compliance workbench displays the part information on the Declarable Substances dialog for the corresponding regulatory list by default. You can maintain this part information for manually-created declarable records.
This indicator must be set in the following cases:
- For China RoHS because this regulation includes the classification C for parts. This means that the contained substances must be evaluated against this part instead of against the homogeneous material.
- For JIG because the JIG-B substances must be evaluated against the part for which the declaration report is created.
Dependencies
Example
- EU RoHS: This indicator is not set for EU RoHS because, according to EU RoHS, the substances must be evaluated against the homogeneous materials only.
- China RoHS: This indicator is set for China RoHS because of the class C parts that are regulated in China RoHS.
- JIG: This indicator is set for JIG because JIG includes, among others, the JIG-B substances that have to be evaluated against the reported part.
