Use

MDS types have a hierarchy and follow a parent/child structure. The following rules apply:

  • A component may have other components, semi-components, and materials assigned to it.
  • A semi-components may only have other semi-components, and materials assigned to it.
  • A material may only have other materials or basic substances assigned to it.
