Definition
Represents a progressive identification number that identifies weight bills and freight bills. The carrier provides the shipper with this number. The carrier issues the pro number to each shipment of freight. It is used for (computer) tracking of the shipment to its destination. The shipper then uses this number on the ASN for invoicing. This number is of crucial importance to the shipper for invoicing and billing purposes.
