Documentation

Definition

Determines whether the cumulative received quantity (CRQ) is to be adjusted in the event of a return delivery or reversal.

Use

Following the posting of a goods receipt, for example, a certain proportion of the materials are returned, so that the originally notified quantity is greater than the goods receipt quantity.

Hitherto, these quantity differences were automatically taken into account in the cumulative received quantity of the associated scheduling agreement item, so that the CRQ was:

  • Reduced in the case of an underdelivery (i.e. reduced by the quantity returned in consequence of a return delivery)
  • Increased by the excess quantity in the case of an overdelivery

If you use the quantity difference profile, you have the following options:

  • If you select the Do Not Adjust CRQ indicator, the CRQ of the affected scheduling agreement item is not reduced or increased by the difference quantity.
In other words, your own cumulative received quantities agree with your vendor's cumulative delivered quantities.
  • If you do not select the Do Not Adjust CRQ indicator, the cumulative received quantity will be:
    • Reduced by the quantity returned in the event of return deliveries
    • Increased by the excess quantity in the event of overdeliveries

      (as hitherto).

Note
This function of the quantity difference profile is not available for purchase orders.

Dependencies

You can use this indicator independently of the other settings in the quantity difference profile.

Example

A goods receipt of 100 pc has been posted. You now enter a return delivery of 2 pc.
The cumulative received quantity (CRQ) of the relevant scheduling agreement item is 480.

In the quantity difference profile, you have selected the Do Not Adjust CRQ indicator, so that the CRQ is not adjusted due to the return delivery.
