Documentation
Definition
Name of a parameter. Only info and control parameters are used in the application system.
The different types of parameters used in the application system and SAP Event Management are:
- Info parameters
Info parameters carry all the additional information that has to be kept with the event handler (for example, name of the carrier, hazardous material class of transported goods, and so on) Info parameters are delivered by SAP and can also be created by customers. Info parameters may be used in rule processing if the info parameter has been enabled for condition processing.
- Control parameters
Control parameters are created by SAP and can also be created by customers. Control parameters are used for event handler type determination in conjunction with system parameters and define the characteristics of the event handler.
- System parameters
System parameters are all parameters that go directly into the corresponding fields of the event handler header (for example, origin ID, destination ID, carrier ID). System parameters cannot be extended by customers and are fully predefined by SAP.
- Rule processing parameters
Rule processing parameters transfer values from one task to another. You can only use them during rule processing.
- Event message parameters
Event message parameters are all parameters that go directly into the corresponding fields of the event message header extension.
