Definition

Identification of an event message recipient (e.g. Event Manager) with reference to the recipient code set. The identification is only unique when in connection with the recipient code set.

The event message recipient is the logical recipient of the event message, that is the party who has received the event message for further processing. This person is not, however, necesssarily the next physical recipient of the event message (event messages can be forwarded via collection points, which means that the last communication partner is no longer the event message recipient).
