Definition

Identification of an object type (of a class or of an interface). the ID can consist of alphanumeric characters and the 'underscore' (_) and 'oblique' (/) symbols . The oblique (/) separates the namespace prefix from the rest of the ID. The ID cannot start with a number.

The ID can contain uppercase letters only. The Class Builder automatically converts all lowercase letters into uppercase letters. If you insert an ID with the Class Library API, lowercase letters are not converted automatically and an error message is issued.
