Use

The joint venture is run by one or several partners, where one partner is the operator who runs the business dealings of the joint venture.

The joint venture is assigned to cost objects. The operator distributes the costs and revenues across the partners.

Dependencies

Whether you must enter a joint venture name or not, depends on the type of number assignment:

• If number assignment is carried out externally, enter a joint venture name from the allowed value range.
• If number assignment is carried out internally, do not enter a joint venture name. The system assigns a number from the allowed value range.

The type of number assignment and the valid value range for the joint venture name is determined by the Customizing settings for Joint Venture Accounting (JVA).

• For the JVA master data, the number range interval and the type of number assignment is determined.
• The number range interval is assigned to the venture class.
• The venture class is assigned to the JV master data profile.
