Definition

Shows the current status of the down payment chain.

Use

The status shows the current state of the down payment chain and determines which editing/processing functions are allowed.

• For a down payment chain with status 'Open', you cannot post a transaction.
• For a down payment chain with status 'Released' you can post transactions.
• For a down payment chain with status 'Completed' you cannot post another transaction.
• A down payment chain with 'Deletion Flag' is to be deleted.

To change the chain status, select Edit -> Status.

Dependencies

For a newly created down payment chain, the system can either set the initial status to 'Open' or 'Released'. This depends on the definition of the down payment chain type in Customizing for debit-side and credit-side down payment chains under Define Chain Type.
