Definition
You use this indicator to determine whether the system defaults a retention amount category when you create a contract, and also whether this is a required entry. You can choose between the following values:
- 1 Default: When you create a contract, the system automatically creates an entry for the retention amount category. The user can delete this entry.
- 2 Required: When you create a contract, the system automatically creates an entry for the retention amount category. The user cannot delete this entry.
- 3 Manual Entry: When you create and change a contract, the user can manually create an entry for the retention amount category. The system accepts the defined attributes, such as the percentage rate, due date of the retention amount, and the period indicator.
Use
You can determine for each company code, chain type, and retention amount category whether and how retention amounts are handled when you create a down payment chain. Depending on the chosen attributes, the retention amount can be removed or not.
