Definition

A value that is used by the system when determining whether or not a customer is protected from price increases. This is the net value of a preceding sales document item, which is compared with the net value of the current sales document item. If the preceding (compare) value is lower than the current value and a customer is price protected (by requesting delivery prior to the elapsation of the price protection period), then a discount is issued to bring the current net value down to the compare value level.
