Definition

Identifies the nature of information being transmitted through EDI. Processing codes are pre-defined in the DRM system. For instance, the system has separate processing codes for end customer return to distributor/ reseller, drop-shipment sell-through by distributor/ reseller etc.

The DRM user can define his own transaction code and map it to a processing code. In this manner, the end user of DRM can work with code names with which s/he is more familiar.
